Gauze's Synthetic Medium No.1

Gauze's Synthetic Medium No. 1 exists in two forms: a liquid version called Gauze's Synthetic Broth No. 1, and a solid version called Gauze's Synthetic Agar No. 1 (also known as Starch Agar Medium).This medium is used for the isolation, cultivation, observation, and identification of actinomycetes, as well as for examining their morphological characteristics. When an appropriate amount of antimicrobial agents (such as antibiotics, phenol, etc.) is added, it can be used to isolate different species of actinomycetes.
