Synthetic low-nutrient medium (SNA medium) is suitable for the cultivation of fungal spores, especially for the production of small spores in the genus Fusarium, and is also suitable for the production of thick-walled spores in the genus Trichoderma. Low concentrations of glucose and sucrose provide energy, while other components mainly serve to maintain balanced osmotic pressure and provide trace elements.
