YIM38 Medium

YIM38 medium is a modified version of the HGMF synthetic medium, mainly composed of soluble starch, KNO3, NaCl,K2SO4, MgSO4·7H2O, FeSO4·7H2O and other inorganic salts, as well as agar as a coag. Its pH is usually controlled between 7.2 and 7.8, and it is often used in the laboratory for the separation and pure culture of actinomyces.
