Fungal Nutrient Agar Medium (Comprehensive PDA)

Fungal Nutrient Agar (Synthetic Potato Dextrose Agar, Comprehensive PDA) or Comprehensive Potato Medium is a general-purpose medium for fungal isolation. The potato extract powder (starch) and glucose in the medium support the growth of various fungi: potassium dihydrogen phosphate acts as a buffering agent; magnesium sulfate provides essential trace elements; and vitamin B1 supplies growth factors.
