The 1000×M-F trace element solution is a classic high-concentration trace element supplement specifically designed for algal cultivation. It was first formulated by Miller and Fogg in 1957. Its core function is to provide essential trace elements for microalgal growth, meeting their physiological needs for photosynthesis, cellular metabolism, and enzyme activity regulation. The solution contains trace element salts such as boric acid, manganese chloride, molybdenum trioxide, copper sulfate, zinc sulfate, and cobalt chloride, with one drop of concentrated sulfuric acid added to maintain system stability and enhance element solubility. The 1000× concentrated form is convenient for storage and precise dosing. When used, it should be diluted at a ratio of 1 ml per 1000 ml of culture medium. It provides stable trace element nutrition support for standardized algal cultivation, physiological mechanism research, or the cultivation of feed algae.
