K's Solid Medium

K solid medium can be used to detect acid- and heat-resistant bacteria in fruit juice. It provides a suitable growth environment for these target bacteria while inhibiting acid-sensitive microorganisms. It contains ingredients such as yeast extract powder, peptone, and glucose. During preparation, the components are first dissolved, sterilized, and then adjusted to an appropriate acidic level before being poured into plates. Subsequently, the target bacteria can be detected by observing the colony growth.
