Escherichia coli/Coliform Chromogenic Medium (Second Generation) is a further improved medium by Point Biologicals, designed for the rapid detection of Escherichia coli and Coliform bacteria in food, water, milk, ice cream, and meat products. Escherichia coli appears blue to purple, Coliform bacteria appear red, and Gram-positive bacteria are inhibited.
