Staphylococcus aureus Chromogenic Medium

Staphylococcus aureus chromogenic culture medium is a genetically modified culture medium used for rapid detection of Staphylococcus aureus in food, water, milk, ice cream, and meat products, with results obtained within 24 hours. Staphylococcus aureus appears as purple red colonies, while other bacteria appear as blue-green, colorless, or yellow. The vast majority of Gram negative bacteria are inhibited.
