Listeria monocytogenes chromogenic culture medium is developed by Point Biotech, which can quickly detect Listeria monocytogenes in food and drugs. A negative result can be tested within 3 days. Listeria monocytogenes appears blue with an opaque ring around the colony. Peptone provides nitrogen source and amino acids, sodium chloride maintains osmotic pressure, agar is a coagulant, lithium chloride inhibits the growth of Gram negative bacteria, and antibacterial agents inhibit the growth of Gram positive bacteria except for Listeria.
