Bacillus cereus Chromogenic Medium

The Bacillus cereus chromogenic medium is a genetically modified culture medium used for rapid detection of Bacillus cereus in food, water, dairy products, and meat products. Improved colorants and additives have significantly improved specificity and sensitivity. Bacillus cereus appears blue-green with an opaque ring around the colony, while other bacteria appear blue-green, yellow, or colorless. Gram negative bacteria are inhibited.
