ADF medium (containing ACC) is mainly used to screen and cultivate microorganisms with ACC deaminase activity. It provides an adapted nutritional environment for these microorganisms, and by using ACC (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid) as the sole nitrogen source, it helps assess the ability of strains to degrade ACC.
