Azotobacter agar medium is a specialized medium for culturing azotobacter. It does not contain combined nitrogen sources but includes carbon sources, inorganic salts, and other nutrients, with agar added to form a solid state. It meets the growth requirements of azotobacter using atmospheric nitrogen, facilitates observation of colony morphology, and is suitable for the isolation, purification, and identification of azotobacter.
