SC Medium is a yeast basal medium that does not contain a carbon source and lacks a glucose carbon source compared to yeast SD medium. Experimenters can add glucose, galactose, raffinose, fructose, sucrose, etc. as the carbon source of yeast according to the needs of the experiment, and use it to prepare yeast SD medium, SG medium, SGR medium (containing galactose and raffinose), SF medium, and SS medium. SC/-Met/-Trp Broth is a mixture of YNB and DO Supplement-Met-Trp to screen strains that can express the component or activate related reporter genes using the Met and Trp defects in DO Supplement-Met-Trp.
