Glycine is a non-essential amino acid for the human body and the only natural amino acid that does not contain a chiral carbon atom (molecular structure: NH₂-CH₂-COOH). It possesses both the basicity of an amino group and the acidity of a carboxyl group, has stable chemical properties, and is highly water-soluble. In biological experiments, its characteristics of 'simple structure, zwitterionic dissociation, and low cytotoxicity' make it a commonly used reagent in cell culture, protein research, molecular detection, and other scenarios, with core functions focused on cell protection, protein stabilization, buffer regulation, and specific metabolic studies.
