1000× NB Vitamin Solution

The 1000×NB vitamin solution is a highly concentrated stock solution of the NB culture medium's organic nutrient system. It is based on the Nitsch & Nitsch (1969) formula and is precisely formulated at 1000 times the concentration of the vitamin components in NB medium (including inositol, high-concentration vitamin B1, with B6 and niacin, excluding glycine). When used, this solution is mixed with other components of the NB culture medium at a 1:1000 ratio (1 mL per liter of medium), sterilized through a membrane filter, and stored at low temperatures away from light to prevent degradation. It provides suitable coenzyme support for anther culture, endosperm culture, and plant tissues sensitive to vitamins, particularly in low-nitrogen culture conditions, helping to reduce tissue browning and promoting normal cellular metabolism and differentiation.
