SOC Medium

SOB & SOC media are improved based on LB broth. E. coli grown in SOB or SOC media can achieve higher plasmid transformation efficiency. They are used for culturing E. coli to exponentially expand the bacterial population, which can be used for large-scale expression of foreign proteins or for extracting plasmids containing foreign genes. This product contains yeast extract, tryptone, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, and glucose, or agar. It is specially processed for better mixing and solubility. It can be quickly prepared into the corresponding medium, and selective antibiotics can be added according to subsequent experimental needs. Independently packaged, no weighing required, convenient and fast to use.
