1/2WPM Medium (without sucrose and agar) is a low-salt modified version of the classic WPM medium. Its core feature is that the concentration of all nutrients is halved. While retaining compatibility with woody plant culture, it becomes a specialized medium for the rooting of plant tissue cultures in later stages and for research on sensitive materials by reducing osmotic pressure and nutrient strength. It is particularly effective during the acclimatization stage of woody plant microshoots.
