MM Medium (Customized, Without Glycerol)

Our company's insect culture media are prepared with sterile ultrapure water and strictly filtered for sterilization. To simulate the main physicochemical properties of specific insect body fluids, we have formulated various insect tissue culture media. The most widely used are Schneider's medium and D-22 medium by Echalier and Ohanessian. Drosophila cells have been used to study various biological processes, including genetics, endocrinology, physiology, cell biology, and recombinant protein expression. When supplemented with 5-20% heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum, Schneider’s medium can support the rapid growth of both primary and established Drosophila-derived cells. The medium has been used for the growth and maintenance of cell lines originally obtained by Schneider from Drosophila, as well as for the culture of cells from other dipteran species. Our company can customize media with specific amino acid deficiencies, vitamin deficiencies, or other elemental deficiencies according to customer requirements.
