MS medium was designed by Murashige and Skoog in 1962 for tobacco cell culture, and is simply called MS Medium. solid medium (with Agar) is used to induce callus, and also used for embryo, stem segment, shoot tip, and anther culture, MS liquid medium is used for cell suspension culture. MS base salt without potassium, the core is a low potassium or potassium-free formula, which retains the macro and micro elements needed for plant growth. exists in the form of dry powder, which is convenient for storage and transportation.
