MS medium was designed by Murashige and Skoog in 1962 for tobacco cell culture, and is simply called MS Medium. solid medium (with Agar) is used to induce callus, and also used for embryo, stem segment, shoot tip, and anther culture, MS liquid medium is used for cell suspension culture. MS basal salt lacking manganese, the core is a low-manganese or manganese-free formula, which retains the necessary and micro elements for plant growth. It exists in the form of dry powder, which is convenient for storage and transportation. It can be quickly configured into a nutrient solution with appropriate pH used, and is mainly used for research related to manganese deficiency in plants, which can make plants show physiological characteristics of manganese deficiency, and provide standard culture conditions for scientific research.
