Euonymol semisolid agar
Euonymol semi-solid agar is a biochemical identification medium for identifying Enterobacteriaceae, especially Shigella and Salmonella. Its basic components provide necessary nutrition, Dulcitol is the only fermentable carbon source, and phenol red is used as an acid-base indicator. The culture medium is made into semi-solid form, which is convenient for observing the power. If the tested bacteria can ferment Euonymus alcohol to produce acid, the whole culture medium will change from red to yellow; If it cannot be fermented, the color of the culture medium remains unchanged. In addition, the dynamic strain can diffuse and grow in semi-solid, while the unpowered strain only grows along the puncture line. The culture medium provided an important basis for the preliminary identification of pathogenic bacteria through sugar fermentation and dynamic test.
