Ultra-sensitive Plant Bimolecular Fluorescence Complementation (BiFC) Kit
Ultra-sensitive Plant Bimolecular Fluorescence Complementation (BiFC) Kit
Bimolecular Fluorescence Complementation (BiFC) can be used to study protein-protein interactions. Fluorescent protein (YFP) is artificially divided into N-terminal and C-terminal fragments, and the individual fragments cannot spontaneously reassemble and function. Only when the two fragments are fused to two interacting target proteins, they are brought close together due to the interaction of the target proteins, complement each other, and reconstitute a complete, functional fluorescent protein molecule that emits fluorescence under YFP excitation. In plants, Agrobacterium-mediated transient transformation enables a direct and rapid detection of protein interactions in the leaves of dicotyledonous plants such as tobacco and Arabidopsis. This kit provides a simple and efficient method for transient BiFC experiments in tobacco. Using Print's exclusively developed infection buffer, broadly applicable expression vectors, and positive control plasmids, protein interactions can be quickly detected through BiFC experiments.
