NMY51-MEL1 Yeast strain
NMY51-MEL1 is a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain primarily used in the DUAL membrane yeast two-hybrid system. This strain employs a separation ubiquitin technology to specifically detect interactions between membrane proteins. Its genotype contains nutritional deficiency markers such as trp1 and leu2-3, and integrates four independent reporter genes—HIS3, ADE2, lacZ, and MEL1—enabling multiplex screening of interactions and effectively reducing false positives. NMY51-MEL1 exhibits high transformation efficiency in competent cells, making it suitable for direct plasmid transformation for interaction validation or library screening.
