Transhydrogenase-1 (TH-1) Detection Kit

TH is located on the inner membrane of mitochondria, also known as respiratory electron transport chain complex VI, which catalyzes the mutual conversion between NADH+NADP+ and NAD++NADPH. The catalysis of the forward reaction is called TH-1. An increase in mitochondrial NADH content leads to an elevation of the H+ electrochemical gradient across the mitochondrial membrane, thereby promoting the production of ROS in the electron transport chain. TH-1 promotes the conversion of NADH to NADPH, thereby enhancing the antioxidant capacity of mitochondria.
