pPIC9K Vector

The “α-MF signal peptide” carried by the pPIC9K vector can guide the recombinant protein into the secretory pathway posttranslationally, and ultimately release it into the culture medium. This greatly simplifies the downstream purification process, as there are far fewer contaminant proteins in the medium than in lysates. The pPIC9K vector contains the KanMX resistance gene, which can be used to screen for resistance in yeast transformants via G418.ants with higher resistance to G418 usually indicate that more copies of the foreign gene have integrated into their genome, potentially allowing for higher levels of protein expression.
