pGAPZαA Vector

pGAPZαA vector is designed for efficient secretory expression of recombinant protein in Pichia pastoris, with the main features: “GAP promoter”, a strong constitutive promoter derived from the glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene of P. pastor, which does not require methanol induction for the expression of the target gene, thus simplifying the culture process and sometimes even yielding higher yields than the inducible expression. It has shown that the level of recombinant protein expression driven by GAP promoter may be slightly higher than that by AOX1 promoter. Additionally, this vector carries the α-factorion signal from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which can direct the expressed fusion protein to be secreted outside the cell, greatly simplifying the subsequent protein purification process.
