The SD with Agar defective amino acid mixture is made from yeast SD medium (Synthetic Dextrose Minimal Medium/ SD Minimal Medium/ SD-Dropout Medium) mixed with agar powder, which has more agar powder coagulant compared to yeast SD medium. SD/-Ade/-His with Agar is a mixture of Minimal SD Base, DO Supplement-Ade-His and agar powder to screen strains that can express the component or activate the reporter gene using the Ade and His defects in DO Supplement-Ade-His.
