pGBKT7-53 is a positive control plasmid constructed based on the pGBKT7 bait vector. Its core function is to serve as a 'known effective bait' to verify the effectiveness of the experimental system in yeast two-hybrid experiments. The p53 gene it carries can specifically interact with the large T antigen in the prey vector pGADT7-T. It is one of the most commonly used positive controls in yeast two-hybrid experiments and is widely used to assess the sensitivity and reliability of the experimental system.
