pSos is the core bait vector used in the Sos recovery system, developed by Aronheim and others. It is a vector in a mammalian cell-based protein interaction detection system. Its main function is to express the 'target protein - Sos fusion,' and it detects protein-protein interactions by monitoring the restoration of Sos protein localization on the cell membrane. It is particularly suitable for detecting interactions between membrane proteins, addressing the shortcomings of traditional yeast two-hybrid systems in membrane protein studies.
