SD with Agar Defective amino acid mixture is a mixture of yeast SD medium (Synthetic Dextrose Minimal Medium/ SD Minimal Medium/-Dropout Medium) and agar powder, which has more agar powder coagulant than yeast SD medium. SD/-Ura with Agar (without ammonium salt is a mixture of Minimal SD Base (without ammonium salts), DO Supplement-Ura and agar powder, which uses the Ura defect in DO Supplement-U to screen strains that can express this component or to activate the relevant reporter gene.
