SGR/-Trp/-Ura Broth

Yeast SGR medium (Synthetic Dextrose Minimal Medium/ SGR Minimal Medium/ SGR-Dropout Medium), known as yeast basic medium or brewer's yeast nutritional defective screening medium, is widely used in yeast interaction and yeast ion tolerance, function complementation and various wild-type ye, and some mutant yeasts for identification, screening and culture experiments. The components of yeast SGR medium include YNB (containing ammonium sulfate, without amino acids),actose, cottonseed sugar, 17 kinds of amino acids and nucleotide molecules. YNB (yeast nitrogen base) provides growth factors and inorganic salts for growth, ammonium sulfate as inorganic nitrogen source, cottonseed sugar as fermentation carbon source, and galactose as inducer. SGR/-Trp/-Ura Broth is mixture of Minimal SGR Base and DO Supplement-Trp/-Ura, which uses the Trp and Ura defect in DO Supplement-Trp/-Ura to screen strains that can express this component or to related reporter genes.
