EB enrichment solution

EB enrichment broth, that is, Listeria enrichment broth, is a liquid medium for selective proliferation of Listeria. It adds high concentration of selective inhibitors such as sodium chloride and pyridone acid to the basic nutrients, which can effectively inhibit the reproduction of most gram-positive bacteria and negative bacteria and create favorable growth conditions for Listeria. The culture medium is especially suitable for food samples after stress treatment such as freezing or heating, and its strong selectivity is helpful to the recovery and growth of damaged target strains. EB enrichment solution is the key reagent in the standard method of Listeria detection (such as GB 4789.30), and it is often used with Fraser medium for secondary enrichment to improve the detection rate.
