Total soil phosphorus includes organic phosphorus and inorganic phosphorus, of which inorganic phosphorus can be directly used by plants. Soil organic phosphorus is converted into inorganic phosphorus through mineralization and decomposition. The determination of total soil phosphorus, organic phosphorus and inorganic phosphorus at the same time can comprehensively reflect the nutrient status of soil phosphorus.

Phosphorus is used with molybdenum blue. Take a soil sample and determine the inorganic phosphorus content of the soil by leaching method. The total phosphorus content minus the inorganic phosphorus content can be calculated by subtracting the inorganic phosphorus content.
