pKD4 Vector

pKD4 is a recombinant vector commonly used for gene knockout in Escherichia coli. It belongs to the auxiliary vectors of the Red homologous recombination system, and its core function is to provide a chloramphenicol resistance gene (cat) with FRT (Flp recognition target) sites, serving as a selectable marker for homologous recombination. It is widely used for gene knockout, insertion, or replacement operations on the E. coli chromosome.
