The SG with Agar defective amino acid mixture is made from yeast SG medium (Synthetic Dextrose Minimal Medium/ SG Minimal Medium/ SG-Dropout Medium) mixed with agar powder, which has more agar powder coagulant compared to yeast SG medium. SG/-Ura with Agar is a mixture of Minimal SG Base, DO Supplement-Ura and agar powder that uses the Ura defect in DO Supplement-Ura to screen strains that can express thisG component or activate relevant reporter genes.
