YPG Plus is a super-rich nutrient medium developed by adding high-nutrient components to YPG. The product has been sterilized and can be temporarily stored sealed at 4°C or room temperature. For long-term storage, keep at -20°C. When using, dissolve at 30°C. During transformation using a Pichia pastoris competent cell preparation and transformation kit, the transformation efficiency of Pichia pastoris can be improved by adding the Pichia pastoris transformation enhancer, selecting yeast in the logarithmic growth phase, optimizing the concentration and quality of the digested plasmid products, and recovering with YPG Plus. Recovery with YPG Plus for 60 minutes can effectively increase the transformation efficiency by more than 60%. It is highly suitable for transformation of Pichia pastoris strains such as GS115, X33, SMD1163, and KM71.
