RD medium (Regeneration Dextrose Medium) is a highly customized, fully defined medium that provides a clean background and controllable variables for the growth microorganisms. It is mainly used for the regeneration of yeast protoplasts and the utilization of nutritional auxotrophic screening to select positive transformants of Pichia pastor. The applicable Pichia pastoris strains include GS115, KM71, etc.
