pDsRED2-ER is a plasmid vector specifically designed for fluorescent labeling of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Its core function is to target the red fluorescent protein (DsRED2) to the ER, enabling visualization and dynamic study of this important organelle. pDsRED2-ER is widely used for observing ER morphology, examining structural changes of the ER under stress conditions (such as expansion during the unfolded protein response), and studying interactions between the ER and other organelles (such as mitochondria and Golgi apparatus). It is a common tool in cell biology, cellular stress research, and studies of secretion mechanisms.
