pDsRED2-Peroxi Vector

pDsRED2-Peroxi is a red fluorescent reporter vector specifically targeting peroxisomes, developed by Clontech (now part of Takara Bio). Its core function is to achieve fluorescent labeling and dynamic tracking of intracellular peroxisomes by fusing the red fluorescent protein (DsRED2) with a peroxisomal targeting signal (PTS). It was originally designed to address the limitations of traditional peroxisome observation methods (such as electron microscopy and enzyme activity staining), which are complex to operate and incapable of real-time imaging, providing an intuitive tool for studying the morphology, distribution, and function of peroxisomes.
