pEYFP-Mem is a cell membrane-specific fluorescent labeling vector, designed to fuse enhanced yellow fluorescent protein (EYFP) with a 'cell membrane targeting signal peptide.' After transfecting cells, it can directly label the cell membrane with yellow fluorescence, visually presenting cell contours, dynamic membrane structures (such as membrane protrusions and vesicle formation), and membrane-associated processes (such as cell adhesion and fusion). This vector overcomes the limitations of traditional cell membrane observation methods (such as dye staining), which are prone to photobleaching and cannot be tracked long-term, making it a fundamental tool for studying membrane functions in cell biology.
