pGL3-Promoter Vector
pGL3-Promoter is a member of the pGL3 series of reporter vectors. Its core design includes the SV40 promoter (without an enhancer), which can drive the expression of the firefly luciferase gene (luc). It is primarily used to study the regulatory functions of enhancers or repressors, or as a moderately strong positive control to validate experimental systems. Its features include well-defined and stable promoter activity, providing a standardized background for analyzing the functions of exogenous regulatory elements such as enhancers or silencers.
