pAB862 is a binary RNA interference (RNAi) vector specifically designed for plant gene silencing research. Its core function is to introduce an inverted repeat sequence of the target gene into plant cells via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. After transcription, it forms double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), triggering the RNA interference pathway to achieve specific silencing of the target gene. It is suitable for gene function studies in dicotyledonous plants such as Arabidopsis, tobacco, and tomato, as well as some monocotyledonous plants like rice, and is particularly suitable for elucidating the functions of redundant members in gene families.
