Soil Chitinase (S-Chitinase) Assay Kit
Soil Chitinase (S-Chitinase) Assay Kit
Chitin is mainly found in the shell of crustaceans such as shrimp, crabs, insects, and mollusk organs (such as the cartilage of squid), as well as in the cell wall of fungi, while chitinase (EC 3.2.1.14) can catalyze chitin hydrolysis, which has the effect of resisting fungal infection and has become a research hotspot for antifungal diseases. Chitinase hydrolyze chitin to produce N-acetylglucosamine, which is further combined with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde to produce a red compound, with a characteristic absorption peak at 585nm, and the rate of increase in absorbance value reflects the activity of chitinase.
