pESC-Trp is a yeast shuttle vector for bidirectional expression, characterized by two separate inducible promoters that can simultaneously regulate the expression two exogenous genes in the same cell. It is widely used in protein interaction studies, metabolic pathway reconstruction, and the assembly analysis of multi-subunit protein complexes. Its design the flexibility of inducible regulation with the efficiency of co-expression, making it an important tool in yeast molecular biology and synthetic biology research. It carries the ampicillin resistance (Ampᵣ), which is used to screen E. coli containing the plasmid in LB medium containing ampicillin, ensuring the amplification and preparation of the vector.
