pBI101 Vector

pBI101 is a classic plant expression vector belonging to the pBI series vector family. Its core function is to analyze the expression pattern of target genes or promoter activity using the β-glucuronidase (GUS) reporter gene, and it is widely applied in plant molecular biology research, such as spatiotemporal gene expression analysis, promoter function validation, and transgenic plant screening. Its design combines the compatibility of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation with the advantages of a visual reporting system, making it a fundamental tool for studying plant gene function. It contains a kanamycin resistance gene (Kanᵣ), which is used to select E. coli and Agrobacterium containing the plasmid on media containing kanamycin, ensuring the amplification of the vector and the selection of transformed strains.
