pPICZC Vector
pPICZC is a commonly used secretory expression vector in the Pichia pastoris expression system, primarily used for the high-efficiency expression and secretion of recombinant proteins in Pichia pastoris. It carries an ampicillin resistance gene, which is used to select Escherichia coli containing the plasmid on LB medium with ampicillin, ensuring the amplification and preparation of the vector (Pichia pastoris vectors need to be amplified in E. coli first). pPICZC is suitable for recombinant proteins that require secretory expression (such as enzymes, antibody fragments, etc.). The advantage of Pichia pastoris lies in its ability to perform complex post-translational modifications, high expression levels, and simple medium components, making it a commonly used tool vector for both industrial-scale recombinant protein production and laboratory research.
