Isocitrate lyase (ICL) assay kit

ICL (EC4.1.3.1) is mainly found in plants and microorganisms, and oil crop seeds convert fat into carbohydrates through glyoxylic acid cycling and other processes during germination. ICL is one of the key enzymes in the glyoxylate cycle.

ICL catalyzes the degradation of isocitrate to glyoxylic acid and succinic acid, glyoxylic acid and NADH form ethanol and NAD under the action of LDH, NADH has a characteristic absorption peak at 340nm, and monitoring the decreasing rate of absorbance at 340nm can indirectly react to ICL activity.
