Lignin peroxidase (EC1.11.1.14) is a ferrous heme peroxidase, which belongs to the lignin degrading enzyme family, and has great application potential in lignin biodegradation, paper industry, textile industry, aromatic compound conversion and degradation, and environmental pollution control.

Lignin peroxidase catalyzed azurine demethylation, and absorbance reduction was measured at 651 nm.
