Lignin is one of the components that make up the cell wall of plants, a class of substances composed of polymerized aromatic alcohols, found in woody tissues, and its main function is to harden the cell wall by forming an interwoven web. Lignin is mainly located between cellulose fibers and plays an anti-compressive role.
After acetylation of the phenolic hydroxyl groups in lignin, there was a characteristic absorption peak at 280nm, and the absorbance value at 280nm was positively correlated with the lignin content.
