pYES3/CT Vector

pYES3/CT is an inducible vector for protein expression in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, primarily used to achieve controlled expression of foreign genes in yeast and for subsequent detection and purification. It carries an ampicillin resistance gene (Ampᵣ), which is used to select E. coli containing the plasmid on LB medium containing ampicillin, ensuring the amplification and preparation of the vector (yeast vectors must first be amplified in E. coli). The advantages of this vector lie in the controllability of inducible expression and the convenience of detection/purification provided by the tag. It is suitable for expressing foreign proteins in yeast when precise timing of expression or purification is required and is widely used in studies such as functional verification and structural analysis of eukaryotic proteins.
